“Mixed Bag Great Facility Indifferent Service”

The Wine and Roses Hotel is a lovely facility in Lodi. Beautiful grounds and facility. Our room was near the spa and overlooked the lovely zen-ish garden and waterfall. This is the best place to stay if visiting Stockton or Lodi area. I grew up on a vineyard outside Lodi/Stockton and moved away 35 years ago. When visiting family, we've checked out other places. This was our second time staying at this B&B, and it is our first choice forever! Both times our room was in the newer buildings.... more

Why we stayed here: We were passing through, but we wanted a detour to wine country. We paused our roadtrip to look at vineyards an extra day. It was our Christmas gift to each other. Overall the service in the hotel was horrible. It seemed that everyone worked there was new and didn't know a thing about the hotel. This was a great find, Lodi does not have a large selection of places to stay and this was definitely a jewel in the rough. We found ourselfs without a place to stay at the 11 hour and pick up the phone book at 8P. Lucky for us they had a room. We stayed in the original part of the... more

This is such a beautiful place. The grounds are so lush and tropical. Every direction you look is such a pleasure. The rooms are just great and very quiet with french doors that open to the garden. Absolutely amazing and wonderful. I would recommend to all. The spa was amazing, the food was delightful and the rooms (spa rooms) were wonderful. The staff was so very accomadating. A must visit. more

Every other local hotel was booked, and I googled hotels in the Lodi area and found Wine and Roses. Upon first impression the hotel is simply beautiful!
